      just an update for everyone.

my husband and i went to the interview this afternoon. it only lasted around 20 mins. basically, i was asked questions from the i-485 form. a little abt the story of our relationship. then a lot of questions answerable with yes or no.

he asked copies of supporting documents for the affidavit of support form. a photo of each trip we took.

then he asked me to sign a piece of paper saying that my application for the i-485 has been approved. i will receive reply within 30 mins. explain about conditionally resident and what to do before it expires.

he said he will review all my documents that afternoon. he might asked for more info or not.

i am glad that the interview went well and was over.
now the agony starts on waiting for their reply.

thanks for the support of the members here. i hope i enligthened some of you too.

What's the next step after the AOS interview?

12/7 was the interview. Am I waiting for a letter saying it was approved or am I waiting for the actual green card?

          AOS Interview date was 12/7/10.
          AOS Approved date was 12/8/10.
Sent AOS approval notice was 12/9/10.
Received AOS approval notice was 12/13/10.

Now waiting for the green card. Accdg to the letter it will take 3 weeks.

I will travel out of the country at the end of next week. So I made an appointment through INFOPASS so I can have my passport stamp with I-551, as a proof that I am a permanent resident of US.

FYI for those who are lost.

Happy holidays and goodluck to everyone!!

Just one interview for both of us together. The IO addressed the question to either of us.

I am not familiar with F2A category. my AOS is marriage based.
On the interview notice, its listed there what to bring. You need to bring the original and photocopies of the original documents submitted. Also, all the supporting documents.

I believe you need to bring an official interpreter but I don't know how to go about it.

I hope I enligthened you. Also, goodluck!!!

I was asked to sign the I-485 form after the IO make sure all the info on the form was correct.

my approval notice was dated the day after the interview date and received the notice 3 days after.

the online case status is behind. all the forms i submitted were approved already and it was not reflected online.

my husband was informed before that BCIS updates the case every 15th of the month only.

so don't worry. though i feel you. lol. goodluck!!!

                        FYI.

I just came from the Immigration Office. I went there to have my passport stamp with I-551. And I have it now. yehey!!! I can travel out of the country next week.

I brought all documentations, just in case. Anyways, I just showed the AOS Approval Notice and passport.

After the Immigration Officer checked my status online, he went somewhere and came back with my stamped passport. Also, he said my green card is on production.

I inquired about if I will have a problem getting back and he said no problem returning back to US.

Goodluck to everyone! I hope you find your peace!

                            Hi Everyone,

I just got my greencard yesterday... I had my interview last Jan 3.. With regards to the employment, I also didn't have the work authorization when I worked but I told the interviewer the truth.. When asked when did I start working?, my answer was:: "I had my "training" last Aug 2010 (during that time I still don't have an EADcoz that is on the safe side, right?

I hope that works for you too!
