Hi All. Thank you for your time and response in advance. My father, here with me in the USA is looking to travel back to India as early as possible due to some non critical, but persistent health issues. We just received his work authorization approval today. I'm wondering if anyone knows how long after this does it take to get a decision on I-131 ?

The work authorization is not a combo-card?
I'm not sure about recent cases but a couple of years ago they sent combo cards (for work and travel) even if the travel case was sometimes reported in process.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
Day 1 - Package received at the lockbox
Day 999 - Card delivered to me - Aug 2021

thanks all. No - it was not a combo card, or any card at all. I got an I-797C notice of action stating that his work was authorized for a period of two years.Comment

I didn't know they changed the process and only issue the 797C. In the past, you always received a card.Nov 2018 - Package sent - EB - Texas Service Center
