Visa bulletin 2011 effects to currently file i-485

Visa bulletin 2011 says that PD for F2A is Jan 2008. Which will effects to currently filed I-485 (AOS ) process or not. how they will process the files based on allocation of number or year.. I finished my finger print on 6th Dec.2010. Now, When I will get EAD and appointment for interview.

I read your question at another forum and on that you said you have already got EAD and got interview letter for Jan 2011.

Please post after your interview regarding VB 2011 if affected or not.

I have filed for AOS under F1 category on Oct 2010. I have done my Biometrics and just today received my EAD and now waiting for my interview letter. When I asked my lawyer about this, she said that I might be affected to the Jan. 2011 VB if I had my interview in Jan 2011. However, they will interview you but even if they approve the case, USCIS will not issue a PR card until my PD becomes current again. She said for sure they will not reject applications because Visa Bulletin took a big retrogression. She also said you can extend EAD until PD becomes current and then they will issue PR card.


But you have already got interview date for Jan. So give us your experience after this date.
