Hi guys, I am from India and my spouse is from Nepal. I just got my i40 approved but the perm process has just started for my spouse. Is it necessary that she also gets her own approved i140 before we can request cross chargeability for our i485 application? One immigration lawyer told us this but we were not sure as we have heard contradictory information on forums.
