I-485 and change of employer

I have my PD 12/98, ND 02/00, FP 04/01 waiting for approval in EB3 category from Feb 2000 (over 1.5 years now).

With the new law how safe it is to change employer and what are the steps to be mindful of if the employer does anything? If anyone of you have any ideas please help.

How long will it take for my approval in VSC?
