HI Forum Members,
My name on Passport, school certificates and each & every ID cards/document is, let's say 'Bob Smith' - as an example
However, on my birth certificate (which is in foreign language), the name is 'Berry Bob Smith' - - as an example
Back in the days, the govt authorities of my country had prefixed my name with the first name of my father. This was sort of a cultural thing, you can say.
I have received RFE to submit birth certificate, as it was not submitted earlier.
So my questions are:
1) If I submit the RFE response with an explanatory note and a translated copy of this Birth certificate (along with original) which has 'Berry Bob Smith', whereas i140, passport, all IDs have just 'Bob Smith'. Will USCIS consider it or issue denial?
2) If USCIS considers and accepts, will they issue GC in the name of 'Berry Bob Smith' or 'Bob Smith'
3) If USCIS rejects my RFE response, then can I file appeal OR file another I485? (Reason: on the side, I am trying to get the name corrected on birth certificate from the authorities in home country - however its a slow process and might take more time than RFE deadline)
4) Can I request RFE deadline extension?
I understand folks cant answer what USCIS will do, but I asking opinions here.
Thanks in advance.
