Long story short, we applied for I-485 17 months ago, and were tired of waiting, because we had many, many plans and the delay made it very hard to plan ahead... Many people mentioned about Pro Se, filing on our own, we did some research and reading, we searched YouTube "writ of mandamus pro se" and got help with mandamus from Mandamus Pro Se. The applications were approved after 28 days of filing a lawsuit.
Our friend filed also after us, for his Indian spouse I-130 pending case. They were recently approved.
