May need amendment of 140 but if the permanent location is still at the old place, it is possibly the attorney's plan to file for 485 and later use AC21 for the new location after 180 days.

my job is still the same, nothing has changed, the employer is the same, only the location has changed. Does AC21 still apply, the attny has not mentioned anything to that effect.

Look, AC21 applies only after 485 is pending for 180 days.

GC is for future employment. If Labor for GC indicates the job is at place Y, you can apply for 485 under the belief that the future job will be at Y upon GC approval. If GC is pending for 180 days, then AC21 applies meaning you can change jobs as long as they are same/similar.

No issues in your case.
