filing i-485 without passport

i just got married but dont have my passport, I came here in an f1 visa but my passport was confiscated by immigration afetr my opt was over and was told to renew my passport and leave, now i married my girlfriend and wanted to know if i can file without my passport

Yours is the kind of case that needs an experienced immigration attorney to guide you if you want to stay in the US. I don't think the passport is an actual requirement. It's birth certificate or passport to prove identity. But there are things like the biometric appointment where they need photo id and the passport is usually given but perhaps you have other id.
