hi,
I just got my interview date (less than 4 months after submitting my i485), and I have a question about the wedding rings at the interview.
my husband and I don't have wedding rings (and I had no engagement ring either) - I very strongly dislike the idea of such rings and will never wear one. I wear 6 other cool, large silver rings. so, I was wondering how big of a deal that is to the interviewers and what we should do about it? should we tell the truth (which is what I'd prefer) or make up some story, borrow rings from someone, or something like that?
many of my friends (who've never been thru the green card process themselves) seem to think that wearing wedding rings is such a crucial indicator of being married in this country, that not wearing them would be raising a huge red flag.
any ideas?
thanks!!
