  • missed my appointment!

i missed my biometrics appt and just got a new appoinment. but i noticed, the had two different service centers on the old and new notice. the first one was MSC and the second one had TSC. what does this imply?

also, how long after the biometrics does one get the ead? thanks in advance.

Your biometrics appointment would have been at a local service centre near you. Where do you live? Your ead card should arrive 2-3 weeks after Bio.

The place of appointment is called ASC (Application Support Center). Google couple of these places in your area. Don't wait for the actual appointment date and go earlier. They have no problem if you get your FP done earlier.
      Good Luck

Ahh you need to find a way of getting your original birth certificate. They need to site original.

                  Birth certificate

                  Hescool,
Don,t worry about your birth certificate, the list on the document you have is sent to everybody, the IO is not interested in your BC, but you may go with the photocopies or the originals of all the document submitted with your I-130/I-485 and other evidence of your relationship( if married). Note that some overzealous IO may want to see the BC of the petitioner( that is the person that is petitioning for you, wife, husband or if LPR/US Citizen or US passport), though it is a rarity, IO are not the same despite the use of adjudicator's manual.

I beg to differ weith you there regardless of what you say about IO. Taking the birth cert is a precaution regardless if they have it from all the other paperwork or not. If it is asked to take it then you take it.

                      Birth certificate

Hello dear go for your interview they will not ask you for your BC. Original BC is often asked for if there is a difference in your name on record. Be rest assured they will not ask for your BC, go for your interview and post here what happened at the interview and in any case if your Original BC is required you will be RFE

I had my interview last January; the IO asked for the original birth cert of both my husband and I, and after that he stamped the photocopies we sent with a stamp that said "original"... I guess it varies... sometimes they ask for it and sometimes they don't care about it....

thanks guys. it is looking impossible for me to get my original birth certificate before then......so i might have to take my chances.

my interview is in about a week.......will keep you all posted!
