I applied for 485 in Oct 2002 and am still waiting for my approval. I am working on EAD and travelling on the travel document. I got an RFE which I sent a year back. I recently got a fingerprinting request which I did (last week). Does anyone else have such an experience. I am sad that it takes so long but am hoping that my GC will eventually turn up. Hoping against hope. But meanwhile if anyone else had the same experience please share it.

Mine was filed in Oct 2003 and I haven't heard from them since! Haven't been fingerprinted as yet too
I was doing some research on the internet and it seems there are plenty of people from 2002 still waiting....so I guess you're a part of a large group! One good thing is that they've finally called you for fingerprinting...that atleast means your file ***'t gathering dust in some pile...
I know of 2-3 people who got their approvals within 2 months of their fingerprinting recently. who knows? you maybe one of the lucky ones! -

Thanks for the response that I guess makes me feel good to know there are others in the same boat. Correction earlier....mine was filed in 2001 Oct. Not 2002 Oct. Anyway I am loosing count of years. I am hoping that I hear back after the finger print recently will help me clear every hurdle and get my GC. I wish u best of luck as well. Will keep this thread updated if I have an update.
