I-485 approval notice send to the old address...

My 485 got approved. But Approval notice has sent to old address. When I checked with INS they told me that I have to file I824 form in order to get a duplicate copy. This is again a time consuming process..

Can I take a duplicate copy from my attorney and go to INS for Passport stamping?.

I moved from Texas to CA.
Has anybody ever experienced anything like this and is there a time limit before which we should get our PP stamped after the approval....

Yes, you can use the Attoney's copy.

Actually, attorney receives the actual approval notice and you receive the courtesy copy.

For PP stamping it is better to take the actual approval notice. However, most of the centers also accept the courtesy copy.

Thanks a lot! But my attorney has also not received the notice till now. In that case, what should we do? ie If we dont get it and neither does my attorney?

Anyone else has had a similar experience?
