  • Green Card approved but no stamp on passport?

    Dear All,

I went interview with my wife, everything went through smootly.
The super nice officer, announced that the application was approved.
He removed the I-94 from my passport and put a BIG CROSS on my existing
H1B (Visa). But he did not stamp anything on my passport.
I have received my new green card (I-551) valid for 2 years.

Is it a must for me to get the passport stamp?
Without I-94, will i have problem to leave US?
Without any stamp on my passport, will I have problem to return to US?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best Regards

Your greencard allows you to do everything...work, leave the US and return. It's all you need. Show your passport and greencard to travel internationally. You don't need an I-94 anymore as you are a permanent resident of the US. Go through the US (not visitor) line at the airport upon returning.
