I-140 approved from TX. Can I file I-485 from Cali
Hello:
My I-140 (both EB1 and EB2) has just been approved from TX and since I am doing my J-1 waiver, I can not apply for I-485 till waiver is completed in August. I have several jobs lined up in Cali. My question is what is the best way to apply for I-485 from Cali without getting a new H1.
Or, can I file for I-485 from TX get my EAD and then move to Cali ( since my I-140 is not employer sponsored).
Only reason I would prefer to to apply for I-485 from Cali is since prcessing time there is 06 months or so as compared to 2 yrs in TX. Please, advise.
