OPT/Green Card

I am on F-1 visa graduating in June 2011.I have been married to US citizen and he is filing petition (I-130 and I-485). My concern is if I apply for OPT(I-765) which is EAD will that process affect the petition(I-130 & I-485) filed by my husband?I would highly appreciate if some one can advise me on this.

Hello,

You should consult with the international student advisor in your school , read instructions, etc. prior to filing. You may be able to apply for EAD based on I 485 directly (instead of OPT). My guess is, things should be smooth if a person entered legally, didn't break the law, have enough marital evidence. Please research a little more on this .
