  • F-1-Marriage to a USC

    hello,

i have been reading the different responses and found this website very helpful. however, i have not come a cross any thread that is similar to my situation.
i got married in March to a USC who i meet in college and have been together since 2009. we plan on filing for AOS very soon. i am currently on a F-1 visa and have applied for my OPT so as to be able to work after i graduate and hopefully will be getting that in the May which is when i will be graduating college. some of the questions that i have are:

1)after i finish college i will be moving to NY to live with my aunt because of living arrangements. because i will be graduating and not having my work permit yet, i will not have a job or have my own place. however, my husband will still be in school as he has 1 more year left. we will not be living together. with that being said, will that pose a problem when filing or during the interview?

    2) also, since i already filed form i-765 for my OPT, when filing I-130 and form i-485 will i need to file another i-765?

    3) is there an issue if the address for my husband is different than where i will be living during the processing period? or should i put the same address for both of us and explain during the interview whenever that time comes?

4)what supporting documents will we need to sure seeing that we are in college and don't really have that much together in our names?

i would really like to get a good understand of what we should do and how we should file the forms. we are college students and would like to stay away from hiring a lawyer for financial reason.

if anyone could answer these questions it would mean a lot.
    thanks in advance.
