I-485/ work permit

I got my asylum granted in 2009 and when I apply for my work permit renewal I received for 2 years which will going to be expired in August 11, now I am planing to apply I-485. please advise me that do I have to renew my work permit again, or just apply the I-485 with out renew it, also want to know, if I have to renew can I apply along with I-485 and do I have to pay the renewal fee again? Please advise, Thank you..

You don't need a work permit since you have been approved for your asylum! Just go head and apply for your Green card. If your employer need prove of your eligibility to work in US, take a copy of your grant of asylum ( which has your Alien Number for the employer to call and verify with immigration). search about "right of Asylee and work permit in USA".
