Hello Everyone,
I have been religiously using this forum and it has helped me immensely. I went for an interview last month (AOS base on marriage to a Citizen), after it was rescheduled due to overbooking. After checking in with security, my husband and I sat in the waiting room. It was a longggggggggggg wait, close to 3hrs. Finally we inquired why it was taking too long, and they stated, they were running behind schedule. I was really tired and frustrated at that point partly due to being pregnant. Finally we were called, and the interviewer apologised for the long wait. We were sworn in and he went over our application forms to make sure everything is correct. Then he asked us what documents do we have that will prove that the marriage was legit, we showed him all the utilities we have together, bank statements, life insurance etc. Then he asked me if we had purchased any property together, i told him no but we bought an LCD TV recently. He told me not to say anything else and asked my husband to pull his chair to his desk, he provided my husband with a paper and pen. Told him to draw where the TV is located in the apt, how big it is, where we bought it, who is our service provider, how much we paid for it. Then he pretty much asked me the same question...our answers were the same. Then he said the petition was approved. he took some pictures from our album, and said he was going to place it in our file. All in All, the interview took about 8mins. My advice to anyone going through the same thing is to be calm, truthful and as long as your marriage is real, there is nothing to worry about. I remember reading on the 'net horror stories about others interview process, at the end of the day it all depends on the type of interviewer you come across. I hope and pray that everyone else come across an easy going interviewer as i did.
Good Luck
