Hello Everyone,

Has anyone experienced sending the application for adjustment of status I-485 to the incorrect address?

The form is supposed to go to the Chicago Lock Box and I sent it to the Dallas Lock Box.

Ah! I am so scared. What is going to happen?

We sent the application one month ago and we have heard nothing. Is it going to be sent back to us and we have to send the application again or is it going to be forwarded to the correct lock box?

HELP!!

They should send the application back by now! But call the USCIS customer service and ask them for help! Good luck.

Resend it

Waiting for a reply is a waste of time, cos it will take them awhile to sort it out and then re-direct it to the currect address to avoid any further delay or to short circuit the situation, just cancel the check and resend a new application to the right address. You are unlikely to be given the date the first one was submitted until it is accepted by USCIS, so donot wait any further, do not delay yourself, cancel previous check by instructing your bank and issue a new one with a new application or if it is a money order try and see if you can get your money back.
