Hi,
I am a british citizen and I came to USA on VWP .I met my wife thru a muslim marriage website in march 2008 and she came to UK twice and I had visited her once in may 2009 and we got married in sept 2009 in Orlando and applied for adjustment of status and work permit. I got my work permit in jan 2010 and had one interview on 27 jan 2010. The immigration officer was very rude and asked my wife how we met. My wife said we met through Shaadi.com which is a muslim matrimonial website.Immigration officer said you dont wear a burqa or go to the mosque and what do you know about the muslim religion?She also asked me why i had shave my head and i told her due to a medical condition. As i was married before and got divorced in Uk she asked for Original court stamp divorce certificate which i mailed her later as support of evidence.
They have denied my green card saying that do not think its a real marriage as bank statement in our names has very little money and our apartment lease is for only 11 months as I had just arrived. our marriage is real and we have been living together since we got married.
