Good morning,i have two questions on two different cases:
1) I am French ,my father is a us citizen,i entered in the usa under the visa waiver program ,i would like to adjust my status.How can i do that?
2) A close friend who is entered the us also under the visa waiver got married to a us citizen,would like to adjust his status.How is that work?

You can't, adjust status entering the US on a VWP. Some who come to US and get married can adjust status but have to prove that they entered without the intention if immigrating. If someone comes to USA with the intent of marrying on a VWP that is immigration fraud as VWP is not immigrant visa, it is for tourist only. It is illegal. If you want to get permanent residence in USA you will have to go back at end of VWP and your father will petition for you relative visa. That will take some time. Your friend can try and adjust status but they will have to have strong proof that they did not intend to marry when arriving on VWP but sounds to me that they did. SO they would have to go back to France and US citizen then applies for a spousal visa CR1. You cannot and should not try and adjust status from VWP.

Yes, it may be possible to adjust! But, each person is different, so immigration cases! You sould consult an expert lawyer before involving in any immigration process in both your cases! Consulting a lawyer does not mean you have to apply with him! Accredited lawyers are better guides! Sometimes it is hard for us ( forum members) to advise you properly. Good luck!
