  • Change in online status in USCIS and address

First off, my post will be a bit long so please bear with me.

    - The status online changed from CPO to Post decision activity. it now says that the approval letter has been sent. Does this include the card also being sent or is there a different message for that? the reason I am asking is because

    - uscis sent some letters to my old address inspite of me submitting both the AR11 and sending a letter. I dont have any way to get hold of it. I did have the address changed now again, but I don't know if the card also has been sent out.
If the card is not sent at this point, I am ok as long as I receive the physical card.

Anyone has any opinions or info that they can share will be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Sure old address it is

Yes they sometimes go to post decision activities( creation of arecord if GC and mailing of card if Working Authorization)after CPO, so your card might have been sent to your old address, to find out which address they have on file for you call USCIS customer service number( 1 800) and demand to talk to the second level officer who has security clearance to access your file and ask for the address they have on file for you, if it's the old address you can change it immediately and request for the card to be re-send.
    2. USPS( postal service) will reforward your mail to you if you have done achange of address at your post office and it has been less than a year, anything above one year there is no guarantee.

When you did change of address AR11 the petitioner should also have sent off I-865 for change also.On USCIS they will change it several times to PDA and Decision back to post Decison then card in production. I had 4 different emails and texts when my GC was approved but as said before if you forwarded your mail you should get it but your sponsor has to fill in the 865 as well.

Or you can get an infopass appointment to directly talk to a USCIS personal and check your address. I just did it this morning to make sure of my address (I moved many time and I filed AR11 each time) , since my PD will become current next month.
