  • Lay off during AOS process?

    1. I am on a L1-A, and it is 4 months since I got the INS receipt acknowledging the I485 petition filing. Would the Green Card process continue if I am laid off (say in about 2-3 mths from now)? If so, what would be the best recourse?

    2. How long does I485 process take under EB1 at VSC?

Appreciate your replies at the earliest possible.

    Yeah Hi,
    1. It depends upon your company, if they wish to pull it out. Mostly companies DO NOT pull the GC processing out. But if you think that you could be in your office for another 2 months, then you are no longer dependent upon company, as you can take shelter of "6 months rule".

    2. No idea.

Really appreciate the reply. Looks like it's going to be safe for the next 3 mths atleast.
