Birth Place issue in Birth Certificate

Hi

My birth place in Birth Certificate will be xxx district (Muncipality) but the same in Passport and School is yyy Village (Panchayat). "yyy Village is in xxx district". Will this become a problem while applying for I485. What should I do in this situation? If I get a letter from Panchayat that yyy Village belongs to xxx district will that good enough ? Or should I need to change in Passport that the Place of birth is xxx district ?
