    Hi everyone,
    if me and my boyfriend Come to Usa and we give birth to a baby, will he be a USA citizen?
    Will we get the chance to be citizens too?

    1) the US follows the policy - so yes, a child born in the US will be a US citizen no matter his/her parents' citizenship

    2) You don't need for the father to be here - just you

    3) I have no idea which country you're from - ie, if you have socialized medicine 0 but having a baby in the US isn't anywhere near free. You *will* have to pay all the associated costs - which can run anything between 25,000 and 35,000 US dollars (in a regular hospital) or more.

    4) Yes, you will have *a chance* - but only after your child turns 21 years old - when s/he could petition for you to join him in the US (assuming he's in the US at the time) as a Lawful Permanent Resident - and after being an LPR for five years, you and your husband can apply for US citizenship.

    So, give or take, you're looking at a project that will have a completion date of on/about 2040. Most people cannot plan a year in advance . . . so if your plan was to have a baby in the US and you/your boyfriend to become a citizen within 6 months after that event - nope, doesn't work that way.
