I am filing for my husband as well and we are filing to the Chicago lockbox too, we are also waiting for receipt. Not sure how long after, I assume within a month, there will be notification of the biometric appointment. Depending on the documents that you sent in they will notify if you they need any other documents, RFE. Such as the medical exam from a civil surgeon. After doing the biometrics, maybe a month or two, you might receive the EAD and the letter for the interview appointment. Not too sure on those timeframes but its the approx. i got from a lawyer. BTW there really was no need for a lawyer... just consulted with one and did it all myself. The notice for the interview will tell you what to bring. (Bring original documents), photo's, lease documents, any doc. that proves your financially combining your lives. We are also bringing cards and affidavits from friends because we dont have such documents.

All AOS go to Chicago and then are sent on to the applicable service center.

No one can give you an estimate! Go to USCIS website and check the processing time! Each person is different, so immigration cases! USCIS will let you know how they work on the receipt,; follow the instructions. Just wait and be patient. The only time you can worry about it is when you are out of the time frame that they post on their website.Good luck and I hope that will help you!
