My wife is here as a refugee, at one year she applied for her green card. I'm a US citizen, once she gets her green card can I change her status from refugee to wife of US citizen? Thanks.

Once she gets her GC she will have changed status she is then a permanent resident. You are already married yes? and you are the USC?

The difference is from being a permanent resident (as refugee) she has to wait 5 years before applying for her Citizenship, but getting her Green Card from an US husband, she has to live with you for 3 years only as a Green holder to become an US Citizen! It is just matter of time since your wife is legal. I am not sure how you are going to work this! But I recommend you to call USCIS customer service, and they will guide you.YOU DO NOT NEED to spend money with a lawyer. I hope that will help you.Good luck.
