  • Please clarify situation AOS Interview

Hello everyone and thanks for all the good information in this forum.

Me and my wife got the interview back on June 2nd of this year, she asked us general questions, she took the letter from IRS, and also she kept a few pictures of my wedding with her, she asked me where i was working and the same thing to my wife.

She told me that i have to wait until my priority date comes current she told me to keep and eye after october 1st of this year.

what i am wondering is if after my PD comes current do i need another, interview? or they will just mail me the welcome letter? , and also i forgot that she took my passport and wrote some weird stuff on it, nothing negative but i need your opinion folks.

    Thanks

It's unclear under which category you're applying to LPR status. If your wife is a US citizen - then you shouldn't wait for a visa to be available to you. If your wife is a LPR herself, then yes, you will need to wait until your PD becomes current. Check the Visa Bulletin, category F2A

It's anyone's guess - specially since you applied w/o a current PD. And w/o knowing what she wrote on your passport.

PD for F2A is now 01DEC08 - and it was 01JAN08 on January/2011 - so we could say it's moving forward about 45 days per month. No clue what your PD is, or why she made the comment about "keeping an eye after october 1st of this year."

In short - anyone's guess. But if your application is kosher, there should be no issue on having a 2nd interview, right ?
