  • Urgent Advice Needed

    Hello,
    I'm 20yrs old. I have affection for older ladies. I have been dating a girl/lady (25yrs old). I came to America on f1 visa, I have been going to school ever since then, never been out of status.

    Now, she wants to get married to me so we can start a family . Also i would be able to get some benefit as a permanent residence or citizen :-0.

    I really love her. I talked to a friend and i was told immigration wouldn't believe that we are in love.

    Please note: Im not like 20yrs old American kids....lol. My friends are 27yrs old upper.

    We were together for 3 month before i told her i was 20yrs old {letting you know i don't act like one }

    Please your Advice i highly appreciated!

    Seems like you are seeking marital advice and not immigration advice.
    Immigration can think whatever they want, the proof of burden is on your shoulders.
    As for marriage at 20, I would think twice!

      Firstly, at 25, your girlfriend is not an 'Older Lady' .. you are just a few years younger . Anyway, I have known people getting married with a 5 year age gap (no one going through a potential immigration situation though). The officer may question the fact that you are only 20 (more than the actual age gap). You could wait, finish school, apply for OPT and find work (or volunteer somewhere..as per the OPT instructions in your university) and go from there. This would prove your ability to financially take care of your woman and you (even better if she is working) . This will not create as much of a doubt (I know it sounds absurd but immigration involves proving your genuine relationship and you would rather have the process go smooth).

      Now this said, I am not a lawyer or an adviser and my reply is solely based on what I think is the best route and whatever I have previously read in several forums.

        Sorry but I am hysterical with laughter that you call a 25 year old an older lady. hahahahaha. That just shows how young and naive you are. Immigration won't care about a 5 yr age gap. Get married if you're ready. Does she earn enough to meet the requirements to sponsor you? Around $18,400.
