I 485 Interview NO DESCISON

My husband and I went to our interview with the IO. He was asked the basic questions, and all he asked me was where I worked and what I did there.
My husband had voluntary departure, and returned with a K-3 visa.
We have 2 children.
The IO said that he will review our case and mail us a decison letter!! I was surprised because, I thought (based on other experiences) that the IO will give you a decision right then and there. Either YES or NO.. and if yes.. stamp your passport with temporary residence.
Instead he said that my husband could not travel until a decsion has been made.
Should I be worried?

Just means they are doing more investigation into your AOS. Did they take your husbands I-94 card and passport? If not then you just have to wait and they may call you in again if they did take them then they will mail you passport and approval letter.

Yes, the officer took his I 94. but did not take his passport. He just removed the I 94.

Ok then you are going to have to wait give it 2 weeks then call if you have not heard anything ok. Sounds like they are investigating more.

oh, that's not good. The only thing probablly that wasn't correct was our address. We moved so the IO had to correct it. But other than that everything was fine.
But we will see

Dear all,

I am just back home after the interview this morning. It went not so good as I think. Because they ask a lot of question like briefly tell about my love story, where my wife and I working now, drawing your house map and family members for both of us at the same time ( even they didn't separate us) and so on. After that, they took my I94 and made copy of my Marriage license and I 20 cuz I am still valid F1. Then they said we can go and will get decision in mail. What does it mean? I am so worried now cuz idk that mean it is a good or bad news? Bad thing like my wife didn't know my parents name cuz she doesn't know Chinese. We feel so bad after the interview. Sigh...

Any input is always appreciated.

How about the letter indicate for the second interview look like? I got a new letter but look like a notice than interview letter. Let me know if u have any idea.

] I went to the immigration field office with an "info pass appointment" I went to inquire about our case. We went to the interview on the 30th of August 2011, and we still haven't heard anything.
They said we will have to wait. So my husband and I went to consult with an attorney..and he said that probablly they are investigating why we didn't submit the I 212.. which is a different pardon than the I 601. Since he got voluntary departure. But he was admitted with a K 3.
NOW... I was looking into any possible reasons why his case has been held up.. and it seems that we should have filed the I 130.. which we did at the time of the I 129F (K-3 Visa) BUT we did not pursue the I 130 since we had been approved to re enter the US with a K-3 visa. I was told that I would't have to pursue the I 130 if we got approved for the k-3. So the I 130 just died off... and didn't get any approval.
So I believe that the officer is looking into why the I 130 was not pursed...I am confused. They might deny my husbands permanant residence because the I 130 was never approved. BUT the K 3 was...

Calm down my dear! Let them do their work! I believe everything is going to be fine. Don't worry to much. Good luck and share with us, please!
