I am new to this forum, so i apologize in advance if i am in the wrong topic/category/etc.
So here's my story.
I came here in the US 9 years ago with a B1/B2 visa and overstayed. Last year, I married my boyfriend of 4 years who is a US citizen. We are currently working on fixing my papers to eventually have my GC. We have already been approved for the i-130, and now we are putting together the i-485 packet. I know that we should have filed both the i-130 and i-485 together. However we didn't have the money for both so that's why we're filing it separate. I wish we just filed it together though...oh well, too late. Anyway, as we are putting together the i-485 packet, one of the requirements we came upon was including a copy of passport, visa, entry stamps, and i-94. Now i dont have a problem showing a copy of my passport and entry stamp. However, my i-94 has been expired since 2002 and my visa will expire in less than a month. Would this be a problem? Should I just get a lawyer? Help!
Thanks
