Travel and get AP when in india

we have applied for 485/AP/EAD on October in NSC. once the bio metrics is done, can my wife travel to india? Once AP is received in US I have it mailed to india and use that to travel back to US?

I would not suggest that t all. Just wait for the AP surely you can wait for a few weeks till after BIO is done and you receive card.
This is not a card that is safe to just send off as if she never received it then she can't get back to the US. My advice WAIT
