I am a us citizen. I applied for my parents green card (I-130) as well as adjustment of status (I-485) in May of 1998 in Houston, TX. I did this in the Houston district office. I was told that my parents should have their green card in 21 months. It is 32 months now, but no signs of green card. I contacted TSC (assuming that my file should be at TSC). I gave them my A#. But TSC could not find my case. Apparently, the district office has not send my file to them. I was also told that the district office can choose to keep my file in their office and do the processing themselves. Now is that true? Shouldn't all cases be sent to TSC? And if true, how can I find the status of my case? Anybody have experience (good/bad??) with that?
Also, every time I contact my district office for information regarding what are they processing right now, I am told that they are currently processing 1997. This was the answer in May 1998, November 1999 and the last I checked
