Birth certificate RFE ( I-485 RFE)

Hello,

I got RFE which says

" Submit birth certificate . The Birth certificate must be issued by appropriate civil authority showing timely registration, date & place of borth and parents name "

While applying I-485 application, i have submitted birth certificate ( not the one which i have received at birth time but my parents obtained certificate of birth from Dept. of Urban Development & public health certifying birth details...but my mother's name is missing in that record ) which has date of registration from Jan 2000. I have submitted 2 Affidavit ( one from from my parents & other from close relative ) using format from web site.

I am not sure what other information they need to orove birth certificate or is it they must have overlooked information provided by me earlier...

If i send orifinal affidavit & birth certificate, do they return original birth certificate ?

i may be incorrect, but usually bcis says that you should not get newer birth documents but submit older ones if you have them. best is to always submit notarized copies as they're usually as good as originals. i wouldn't risk sending originals to them.
if u have your hospital card, college leaving certificate etc. which shows more information of birth, you can submit those copies (notarized). also, you may be able to submit multiple documents to present your date and place of birth. send with proper cover letter describing everything properly and get your cover letter's signature notarized. this proves authenticity of your document.
