Hi,
I've been in US for 5 years now. First 4 years I was on F1/OPT and since 0ct 2010 i've been on H1B.
I am marrying to a US GC holder in feb 2012. She came to US in Sep 2011. What options do we have to file my GC petition? Should we wait for her to get her citizenship (which will take 4 years I guess) and then apply for my GC or should I apply right away on the basis of her GC after we get married.
What are the pros and cons in both situations in terms of my work authorization in US and my ablility to visit my home country?
