job change after applying for I-485/EAD

Hi,

My priority date is Aug-08 and have applied for 485/EAD on Jan 3rd .. i.e. cpl days ago.

From last November I have been trying for a job and things are getting finalized now...( that time dates weren't moving tht fast)

Since i have just filed for 485/EAD so in dilemma whether to change the job or wait for EAD to come.
The questions I have are:

1. How many months one need to wait after getting EAD?
2. If one doesn't wait, does the process/file get revoked automatically or its up to USCIS to cancel it?
3. Does the step 2 happen only if the employer who has sponsered requests it?
4. My H1B is valid till end of 2012 so , if i chnage the job using H1, does my 485/EAD application gets invlaidated?
