Hello,
Regarding the birth cert affidavit for I485 filing... my parents are currently residing in UAE. Do they get the affidavit notarized by the Indian Consulate in that country.. or by some local notary (if one exists over there). Look forward to info on this.
Also, I lost my original birth cert but got a new copy re-issued by the authorities and it clearly states that the date of birth registration was within 2 months of birth..would that suffice ? or will a separate affidavit or language in affidavit be required since the original/old copy of birth cert is not available. The current format of affidavit I have is the standard one available on this site.
