L2 Visa Processing - Marrital Status

Hi,

During the time of my stamping I mentioned Marital Status as single as I was not having Marriage Certificate with me at that point of time.

I got my mariage certificate after my stamping was done. It reflectes the original marriage date and date of appearance for registering it the date after my stamping date.

So my DS-160 reflects the Status as Single.

Now I initiated the L2 Visa processing for my Spouse.

So is there a chance that it'll be rejected based on my DS-160 marital status which is Single?

Please let me know how to change my marital status to Married in DS-160.

You can't retroactively change what you entered earlier.

If you are married, you have to write married, whether you have marriage certificate or not.

This is going to cause problems and you will have to deal with it.
