Filing I-485 or CP is best?

Entered to USA on L1A visa with company A.(2004 to 2008)
• Though my H1b approved on Oct 1 with company B (2005) I never worked for company B.I kept retain with company A.
• Gone to home country for some reason on Nov 14.I got stamping on L1A on Nov 18.
• Returned to USA with valid L1A and started to work for company A. In 2008 joined company C by transferring L1 to h1b (which means Company A to company c)
• Company C filed for GC processing in Mar.2010.
• I got I -140 approved a year ago.
• From 2008 to till date I am maintaining my status with company C.
• My priority date is getting close to current.
• What should I opt for?
• My lawyer is telling to choose for consular processing because though my H1b approved on Oct 1 with company B (2005) I never worked for company B.I kept retain with company A nearly one month till Nov 14. Will that be an issue for applying I485?
• Filing I-485 or Consular processing which one is best?

It is just a matter of how long one vs another process would take. There is no other difference.

I don't see any other problem here.
