green card approved while out of country

Hi guys - please any one share your experience at POE...whaile grren card approved and out of country...

My wife is out of country and her green card approved some time in jan second week.she is having valid AP and returing back on feb last week.

is it safe to use AP or should i send green card and approval notice to india with my friend so that she can use Green card to enter to USA....

please advice and share your experience...

One of my friends couriered it to his wife when she was in India..Not sure she entered in GC or AP.
