Travel on H1 and H4 while 485 and EAD pending

I am on h1 and my wife is on H4, both our visas valid till Sep 2014.
We have applied for 485 and EAD on Feb 1st and we are also done with finger prints this week.
We may need to travel to India next month and I am wondering if I will have any problems if we return on our H1 and H4 visas?
What happens if our 485 gets approved while we are abroad.
While filing for 485 and EAD our attorney suggested that there is no need to file AP since we both have valid visas!!!!!!

You are good to go. Make sure you dont miss your Interview Date. If you are traveling for a long time, it wouldnt be a good idea if you are away and miss your interview date. Your visas are valid so you are good to travel. As long as your AOS has not been approved and GC issued, you are still good on your current status...

Travel after Biometrics.Is it safe?

Hi.I have read forums related to my questions,yet am unable to comprehend.I am currently on H4 and my visa is valid till Apr,2015(got my approval recently).Initial approval was given till Apr 6th,2012.My spouse and I have applied for I-485.Our PD has become current(10th April,2010).We have filed our I-485 and AP application on march 5th.So,having written about my status,here are a few questions that I would want to ask:
1.How many days/week does it take to get a biometrics appointment?
2.The very next day after biometrics,can I travel out of country for 3 months?Is it safe or will there any issues when I re-enter after 3 months?
3.I have to go for stamping before I re-enter US.Will there be any issues again during stamping?
OR
Is it better to have EAD in hand and then travel?
OR
Have EAD in hand,Wait for AP and then make a travel?

I am eagerly waiting for replies.

I have a valid visa stamp in my passport till 2014, looks like you only have an approval till 2015, this is a different case
I filed 485/EAD on Feb 1st, got receipts on Feb 7th and got FP notice on Feb 24th, FP date was Mar 7th,
Other questions I am not really qualified to answer.
