  • Biometric Appointment

    Hi,

I received my Biometric Appointment notice via mail today. My appointment is on April 12, 2012. I want to know if it's possible to take appointment earlier than that since it's close to my wife's delivery date and if it's possible, how to do it.

    Thanks.

    Not exactly sure

Hi, I'm not sure if you can prepond but you definitely can postpone. Because there will be others wo are scheduled before you and logically thinking it is near to impossible. But you can find out if they can do it for you since your scenario is special and legit. Call USCIS customer care and ask tem, I'm 100% sure they will answer your question. Good luck and congratulations

      dont worry

the biometrics taking process takes less than 10 mins i am sure you can make it even if ur wife has already started labor.... i am just worried if you postpone it something else might happen or they might give u an even later date which will delay things more.... good luck......

        Hi need some help

I got two letters with two biometric appointments, one is for my work permit and the other for the I485. I was wondering why are they so close to each other, one in on a wednesday and the other on thursday the 3rd and 4th of april. what I would like to know is what happens after that because I am not married to a citizen, so how much time would I wait to get approved? I've been living here close to 20 years now, and I came has an illegal. So I'm kinda confused on how this works, the reason I'm going thru this process is because I got pulled over and got reported to ins and now I'm on this situation.

We've done 3 successful early biometric appointments now (at 3 different locations) by showing up on a date earlier than the appointment says. It's often called doing "walk-in" biometrics on immigration forums. People all over the country have a pretty high success rate.

If your office is close, just try it. After lunch seems to be less busy so we usually go around 2 PM and have found the centers pretty empty. The first time we said, "we were close by and wondered if we could take care of this today?" No problem. The last time we just walked in the door and handed them the appointment notice and they didn't say a thing about the appointment date.

To the person with two dates--they will do both at the same time. Just take the notices with the barcodes. But if you have been illegal for 20 years, I think you need a consultation with an immigration attorney because you may not be eligible for a GC. If you were reported to INS, are you in deportation proceedings?

No I'm not in deportation proceedings, I was detained for 10 days and I got out with a 2000 dollar bail, the reason is like a said because I got here when I was a kid I was 8 years old. I did all my school since 3rd grade, elementary diploma HS diploma and I have no criminal record, I have a son who was born here but hes gona be 2.

No, and honestly, if you cant even wait for a biometrics letter to come in(one of the first things youll get) youre going to have a hard time this entire process. PATIENCE is the key word here
