  • out of status f1 married us citizen & files i485

    Hi,
My situation is that I'd held an f1 status, but I fell out of status 2 years ago. I got married with a us citizen. We filed form i130, and it was approved. Now I have some questions about form i485 and i864.
In form i485, what should i put in my current occupation and other occupations in the last 5 years? I used to work as a tutor for school for 1 semester. Now, I'm not working nor going to school.
For form i864: my spouse is not working right now. I have a sponsor who filed i864 for me already. Does my spouse need to file form i864 as well?
Please help me asap. Thank you all.

Well everything sounds good so far . i just wonder why u didnt file your I-130 amd I-1485 together .. Anyways still good all the same. fill out the information correctly , as truthful as it can be . if you spouse is not employed for now it doesn't matter , so far you co signer makes enough money to cover you.
i have similar situation like yours . i was F1,was out of status for 5 months and my wife does not have a job for over a year now, but i have a cosigner that makes good money (over $40,000). i filled I130 and I485 jointly and i was approved on my interview date feb23. i already received my GREEN CARD. i wish you good luck

your quest . yes he or she needs to file I864, he/she is your main sponsor , your other sponsor is just a co sponsor . so you will need two i864 .

US out of status appying for canada student visa.... need help.......

help me guys....... please tell me the option that would work in my situation or is it even possible for me......

      1) I completed a bachelors degree from UK and went to US for a masters degree. I was out of status in US for over a year and voluntarily left the country. I am planning to apply for a certificate or diploma program from Canada. Now, what are the chances of getting a student visa for Canada after completing a masters degree from US?

      2) My parents live in Canada. What are the chances of getting Canada PR if they sponsor me from Canada?

      3) My girlfriend lives in US and shes a citizen. What are the chances of getting US Green Card if she sponsor me after we marry?

Please suggest me which out of three options is possible for me and would be the cheapest. need help...
