Documents to hand in

I have a question do we have to give them those bonafide or proof of how we met and affidavits of family member here in the US stating that they do verify our relationship, or wedding.

I am wondering cause I just read of a couple that had these questioned on their interview and I have still not heard or asked to come in for an interview and it has been a year.

They told me process for Canadians are usually not that long but I have not send any of these documents signed by our friends or his family.

Not necessary.
If you send enough evidence to show its a bonafide marriage then thats enough.
Once they called for interview then you have to show proof of relationship, leaving together etc like
Original marriage Certificate, copies of lease on both of you & your spouse name, joint bank account, joint utility bills, joint insurance, joint Car ownership or car insurance on both of your names etc.

Affidavit from relative or friends, neighbours no need.
