Hi:
I am a Canadian citizen working for a Canadian non-profit organization (not charitable), currently living in Canada.Company also has US c6 status. Married to US citizen and will be moving to the US at the end of the year to live with him. I have been told to file an I-735 along with my I-485 when I move to allow me to continue to work for the Canadian company while in the US. It would basically be a telecommuting type of thing except that I would be in the US instead of Canada. I plan to still be paid in Canadian dollars direct deposited to a Canadian bank account as I will still have assets in Canada.
Does this sound correct? Does the I-735 automatically allow me to work in the US while waiting for my green card or is there likely to be more paperwork afterward as well?
