Waiting for Green Card and Laid Off

I am working in the United States on an H1B visa and have filed my Green Card through marriage (I'm in the initial review phase). I was currently laid off and my last day is this Friday June 29th. Can I claim unemployment since I've been working and paying into American taxes for 15 years now? What happens with the Green Card process since I'm laid off although I already filed? Should I file an I-765 Application for Employment Authorization so I can look for another job?
