Hi Guys I have received a RFE on I-485, here is the description:
The birth certificate you submitted has a delayed registration. Please comply with the following:
Please submit the oldest available evidence which establishes your birth and parentage. This evidence may include, but is not limited to:
a. Hospital birth records which name the child and both parents.
b. Medical records which name the child and both parents.
c. School records which name the child and both parents.
d. Census records which name the child and both parents.
e. Religious records in the form of the certificate under the seal of the organization where the baptism, presentation or comparable rite occurred following the birth, showing the date and place of the child’s birth, the date of the religious ceremony, and the names of the child’s parents.
The marriage certificate you submitted has a delayed registration. Please comply with the following:
Please specify which of the following marriage acts applies to your marriage by checking the appropriate blank.
_____Hindu Marriage Act
_____Indian Christian Marriage Act
_____Muslim Law on Marriage
_____Special Marriage Act
In addition, submit evidence that your marriage was conducted in accordance with the particular act governing your marriage.
If married under the Hindu Marriage Act, submit a copy of your Memorandum of Marriage.
If married under the Christian marriage act, submit a copy of your certificate of marriage indicating registration with appropriate registrar of marriage.
If married under the Muslim Law on Marriage, submit a copy of your marriage contract(Nikah Nama) with an English translation.
If married in accordance with the Special marriage act, submit a copy of your certificate of marriage issued by the appropriate marriage office.
Also for immigration purpose the evidence in each case must establish that your marriage has been register even if not required to do so and must be accompanied by marriage photographs taken during the religious ceremony and celebration.
