EAD and I-485

When changing from F-1 status to applying for a green card you cant ask for a renewal of EAD (since your status is changing), correct?

As a wife of a US citizen on a F-1 visa (no K-1) should I put (c) (9) (EAD applicants who have filed for adjustment of status) ? if this is not correct - what should I put instead?

If you apply for a new EAD, category (c)(9) is correct. I'm not sure if you can renew it though.
