    This is my situation

    I-140 approved on Feb '12
    I-485 Filed
    Got EAD/AP dual card
Got RFE on I-485 (Due name descrepancies)
RFE was responded on July 23
Current Status:Request for Evidence Response Review

So far all the communications are handled by my company's attorney.

Now coming to my actual question. If i change job based on AC21 and being crossed 180 days from I-140 approval, my attorney who handled the case goes out of equation (since i moved to another company). In this situation, to whom USCIS communicates if there are more communications required in future regarding my case. Will my current attorney get any communication from USCIS regarding my case in future? What are my options here?

    Any help is appreciated.

At the time of filling AC21, you should specify your attorney.

Submit a form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative and all the communication will be with him. Even though you will receive notice on your name too.

Or Write a letter to USCIS to withdraw your previous attorney to represent your case. If you think its not gonna work then take an infopass and go to your local USCIS field office and let them know so they can take out him for you.

Thanks. So in option 1 when i apply G-28 for the new attorney, USCIS automatically removes the old one. Is that right?. In option 2, although i notify USCIS to remove the old attorney i still have to let them know the information of the new attorney (by filing G-28) is that right?

On a side note, do i need an attorney to proceed further (as the case is on final stages)? and just let the communication come to me alone without the involvement of an attorney. will that work?

IF you don't need an attorney, its Ok. just send a letter to USCIS (or take infopass) and ask them to remove him as your representative. All future communication will be to you. ( Some time USCIS doesn't care, even you remove him they still sends the mail to him. In my case I drop the attorney, but still a copy goes to him from USCIS)

If you file G-28 for another attorney, then it's ok. They will communicate with the new one.
